A huge underground detector is to measure gravitational waves and “listen” to the Big Bang. One promising candidate location is the border triangle between the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. But Lusatia also seems suitable – at least as far as technical criteria are concerned. Whether it will receive political support remains to be seen.
