PhD candidate Clara Gatius from Nikhef used the KM3NeT neutrino detector at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea to search for dark matter. Spoiler alert: she didn’t succeed, but that’s still a valid result. This week, she obtained her PhD at the University of Amsterdam with her thesis entitled ‘From the cosmos to the sea’.
