At BNR news radio, Nikhef’s ICT architect Tristan Suerink talked about the European supercomputer that is in the making: a supercomputer more powerful than 5 million modern laptops.
Europe is busy developing a supercomputer, in which the Netherlands is also participating and paying. The Netherlands will contribute some 8 million euros of the total cost of 542 million euros. The computer itself is as powerful as five million modern laptops.
