Last Saturday, 4 October, the annual Science Day took place at Amsterdam Science Park — and once again it was a great success. Nikhef opened its doors to young and old alike, and it showed: the building was lively and bustling throughout the day.
Visitors could take part in a wide range of activities, including mini-lectures, tours of the labs and the data centre, and a science show that drew full audiences. Children enthusiastically joined the particle treasure hunt, while other visitors enjoyed a live-stream connection with CERN, offering a fascinating behind-the-scenes look of the science institute in Geneva.
The Science Day is an annual event at Amsterdam Science Park. Together with CWI, AMOLF, ARCNL and other institutes, Nikhef demonstrated how vibrant science is — and how our researchers contribute to fundamental knowledge about the building blocks of the universe.
