At Nikhef in Amsterdam, an online masterclass is organized in an international context for students in the upper grades of vwo. The masterclass lasts half a day. After some introductory courses, participants will have the opportunity to study collisions between elementary particles for themselves. For this they use real data from the ATLAS experiment (the search for the Higgs particle) from the Large Hadron Collider at CERN!
Finally, the students discuss their results with students from other countries in a video conference.
