This thesis presents analyses based on the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) using data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. In this framework, the Standard Model is treated as a low-energy approximation of a more general theory, allowing potential effects of higher-energy physics to be studied even if not directly accessible by current experiments.
SMEFT provides a largely model-independent way to combine the sensitivity of many different measurements, making it a powerful tool to search for deviations from Standard Model predictions. This thesis presents the most recent SMEFT results from the ATLAS collaboration and includes the most comprehensive SMEFT interpretation performed within ATLAS to date.
“Just beyond our reach. Standard Model Effective Field Theory interpretation of ATLAS combined measurements”
De promotie vindt plaats in de Agnietenkapel, Oudezijds Voorburgwal 229 – 231, 1012 EZ Amsterdam.
