1. INTRODUCTION

In 2005 Patrick Seignemartin of Paris, France, contacted me with questions about his ancestors Palthe / De Kanter in the Netherlands. This led to a regular mutual exchange of data. For practical purposes and in order to attract reactions I decided to put the data in a separate webpage. The page is in English since neither my French is as good as it should be, nor is Patrick's Dutch.

Chapter 2 gives a survey of the structure and notation of the pages and a guide for the use of the index. Chapter 3 would give statistics but is not implemented here. Chapter 4 would list all generations, but for the moment we have only one page here. Chapter 5 lists all references in a separate page. Chapter 6 presents a name index.
