Binaries

For the most recent changes, please consult the history.

The current version (all versions after 25-jan-2009) of FORM is 3.3. In the various directories you will find files that are named
form The sequential version of the FORM executable.
form.gz The gzipped version of the form file.
tform The multi-threaded version of the FORM executable.
tform.gz The gzipped version of the tform file.
In addition there may be older versions. Those are usually having a date in their name. We don't work with sub-sub versions in FORM. Instead each version has a date which it prints in the first line of its output. For correspondence, please refer to this date. In adition there may be executables of minos and/or stedi. For instructions about those programs, please follow the links.

Currently there are executables for:
LINUX/32-bits The LINUX version as running on 32 bits Pentium-like architectures.
LINUX/64-bits The LINUX version as running on 64 bits architectures. Runs both on Xeon-like and Opteron-like processors.
Apple/PPC The PowerPC version as running on Apple.
Apple/Intel The Pentium version as running on Apple.
Windows A native windows version for 32-bits architectures.
It should be noted that I can upgrade the LINUX versions fastest. They only depend on my own computers. Currently the Apple versions are still 3.2.

Executables are planned for:
Windows/32-bits Under Cygwin.
Windows/64-bits Under Cygwin. Not clear yet for which architectures.
LINUX/Itanium The LINUX version as running on 64 bits Itanium-like architectures (created on the SGI machine at Karlsruhe).
More binaries may follow. For questions about binaries, please send e-mail to form@nikhef.nl.spam (please strip the .spam). In the case of computers to which the author doesn't have access, one may have to provide facilities for the port and one shouldn't expect regular updates.
