Welcome to the Web Site where the result of the design effort of the Liquid Argon valvebox (LAC) for the ATLAS calorimeter are presented. The design is taking place in the form of a Collaboration involving members of the LHC Division at CERN (1) and of the MT Department at NIKHEF (2) .
This valvebox controls the Liquid Argon flow to the calorimeter cryostats, and can also be used to empty the cryostats and pump the Argon back into the dewar. In addition, the Argon can be fed through a purification module.

The manufactering of this valvebox will be done by DeMaCo.
