RECFA meeting Amsterdam

19 oktober 2018
The meeting of the Restricted European Committee for Future Accelerators was held today at Nikhef in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

RECFA is composed of one member per country, appointed for a maximum of two three-year periods. Restricted ECFA assists and advises the Chair and the Secretary in the current running of ECFA, and acts as the communication channel to each participating country, its physics community and national institutes and authorities.

The committee was introduced to the many facets of Nikhef’s research in astroparticle and particle physics; they were not only given presentations by all the scientific programmes, but after lunch they were also treated to a tour of the lab, where they were given all the ins and outs of, amongst other things, gravitational waves research and the Nikhef contributions to the ATLAS and LHCb research at the LHC.
