Friday 10 October, 11:00h, at Nikhef in H331

Speaker: Raimond Snellings (Utrecht University)

Title: "Heavy ion collisions: past, present and future directions"

Abstract:
Measurements of heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and the LHC have in the last decade led to a paradigm shift in our understanding of the properties of the Quark Gluon Plasma. In my presentation I will briefly review the measurements which lead to this paradigm shift and discuss what the current open questions and key future measurements are for heavy-ion collisions at the LHC, RHIC, FAIR, JPARK and NICA.
