The next Grappa meeting at the University of Amsterdam is scheduled:
Wednesday October 27th
time: 15.30 hours (note different time!!!!!)
location: science park C1.110
program:
15.30-15.50 Bryn Haskell (API)
title: Superfluid neutron star dynamics
abstract: "Neutron stars offer a unique opportunity to probe a wealth of physical effects that cannot be studied in terrestrial laboratories. Not only do they allow us to gain insight on the state of matter at extreme densities, but also to study the dynamics of large scale superfluid components.
I will present recent theoretical developments in superfluid neutron star modeling and discuss how on the one hand future high precision X-ray, radio and gravitational wave observations can help constrain the models and how on the other several inputs are still required from both nuclear and gravitational physics to obtain accurate models for the phenomena we observe."
15.50-16.10 Paul McFadden (ITFA)
title: Holographic Non-Gaussianities
16.10-16.30 Paul Kooijman (IHEF)
title: First results of Antares
