The next Grappa meeting at the University of Amsterdam is scheduled: Tomorrow Wednesday November 24th Time: 10.30 Location: Science Park 123, z011 Program: 10.30-11.00 Coffee 11.00-11.45 Stan Bentvelsen (Nikhef, Ihef) Title: First results of ATLAS with implications for New Physics Abstract: At the start of 2010 the Large Hadron Collider produced its first collisions at high energy. Now, at the end of the year, the ATLAS detector has analyzed millions of collisions and re-discovered all known elementary particles. For the discovery of the Higgs particle more data is needed, but sensitivity is enlarged for direct observation of dark matter particles. more info: http://www.grappa-uva.nl
