Title: "Higgs physics at the LHC: probing the Standard Model and beyond"

Abstract:
The discovery of the Higgs boson by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in 2012 marked both a major milestone and the dawn of a new era of searches beyond the known in high energy physics.

Following the discovery, the properties of the new particle, such as its mass and couplings, have been studied in great detail. The combination of various production and decay modes leads to a complete picture of the Higgs sector of the Standard Model. I will describe these analyses, each targeting specific properties of the Higgs particle, their combination and interpretation of the latest results in various benchmark models.

With the Higgs boson at hand, we do not only gain insight into the Standard Model at a level that has never been achieved before, but it serves as well as a unique tool to explore physics beyond the known horizon. I will describe how the measured properties of the Higgs boson complement direct searches for new physics effects like Dark Matter or Supersymmetry. I will use various physics scenarios beyond the Standard Model to interpret the latest results and identify areas where new physics might be hiding.
