Title: "CP Violation in LHCb"

Abstract:
The failure of the Standard Model to describe electroweak baryogenesis motivates the search for new CP-violating physics around the TeV scale. LHCb searches for new particles through their effects in virtual quantum loops. Interference of these new amplitudes with standard model amplitudes can result in CP observables that deviate from their CKM predictions. The LHCb physics program includes a long term strategy of performing high precision measurements in many CP-violating modes: including so-called "direct CP violation", "indirect CP violation" and "mixing induced CP violation”. In the colloquium I will review results of LHCb run-1 on all three CP violation categories and comment on the prospects for the future.
