Heavy-flavour workshop 2016

2016-10-10 13:53 | 2016-10-14 13:53

Lorentz workshop: Tomography of the quark-gluon plasma with heavy quarks.
10-14 October 2016, Lorentz Center Leiden, the Netherlands.
The main purpose of the workshop is to provide a platform for experimentalists and theoreticians to discuss recent results from experiments, foreseen upgrades and theoretical developments regarding open and hidden heavy-flavour dynamics in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions. Both open and hidden heavy-flavour physics is entering a new and exciting stage towards reaching a clear understanding of the experimental results with the possibility to link them directly to the advancement in lattice QCD.

To guarantee a workshop atmosphere in the spirit of the Lorentz Center series, we will have plenary sessions with ample time for discussion between the presentations and will form discussion groups to give the experts sufficient time for interactions. The number of participants will be limited to about 50. The workshop website is located here, where more information will be provided when it gets closer to the conference dates.

The Lorentz Center in Leiden (http://www.lorentzcenter.nl) operates in the same way as the ECT* in Trento. It provides facilities and the necessary infrastructure for workshops and is located very close to Schiphol Amsterdam airport.
