On January 12, 2018, Jan Visser of Nikhef will organise the Dutch ATTRACT symposium “Trends, Wishes and Dreams in
Detection and Imaging Technologies” at Nikhef at the Amsterdam Science Park, Amsterdam.
Now that the European commission has granted the ATTRACT initiative the money to organise the first phase,
we would like to inform you about the details of the upcoming call to be well prepared and to have another
opportunity to pitch your ideas to come to a collaboration. To increase the chance of success when applying

General information
ATTRACT is a new, open, pan-European initiative from CERN to accelerate the development of
high-performance detector and imaging technologies for science and industry through a process
of co-innovation among European research institutes, small and medium enterprises (SMEs),
companies and universities. The purpose of this symposium is to bring as many relevant, interested
and curious parties together to share their ideas on the future of radiation detectors and other
sensor and imaging driven scientific instrumentation and applications by 2025.
