Colloquia
Weekly lectures on current developments in particle physics, astroparticle physics, and related fields of research.
What are the Nikhef Colloquia?
The Nikhef Colloquia are an important part of the scientific community at Nikhef. Every Friday, a guest speaker gives a lecture on recent research, new developments, or notable results in fundamental physics.
The lectures offer an accessible way to learn about research outside your own field and encourage the exchange of ideas among different research groups.
Who are the colloquia for?
The colloquia are meant for:
- Master students
- PhD students
- Postdocs
- Scientific staff
The topics cover a wide range of research areas, including:
- LHC experiments (ATLAS, LHCb and ALICE)
- Astroparticle physics (KM3NeT, Auger and XENON)
- Gravitational waves
- eEDM
