Title: "Lepton mixing: what is behind"

Abstract:
Lepton mixing is a manifestation of unknown yet physics beyond the Standard Model. Progress in uncovering this physics may shed a light on origins of the mass spectrum and mixing of fermions, on grand unification, etc.. In view of this, the latest data on lepton mixing will be analysed and possible existence of certain symmetry behind the pattern of mixing will be discussed. I will consider connections of the lepton mixing to the quark mixing, lepton masses, in particular neutrino mass hierarchy, to hypothetical sterile neutrinos. Implications of future measurements of the CP-violating phases for the mixing will be outlined.
