On Tuesday 2 March, Evert Lemmen of Strukton and Miriam Luizink of NWO-I signed the building contract for the renovation of Nikhef. This, of course, took place in a small circle and with sufficient distance in Nikhef’s current Spectrum. Signing the agreement is a milestone that marks the end of the preparatory phase. Over the past few months, Strukton has been studying the building and the designs made by a team of JHK Architects, Deerns and Aronsohn. They will start the renovation work soon.
Strukton also gave three graffiti spray cans to director Stan Bentvelsen. The cans symbolise a work of art that will be part of the renovated Nikhef.
