The NEMO Kennislink website spoke with Ronald Starink, Nikhef’s head of IT, about the organization’s efforts to operate as independently as possible. Starink: “For a long time, many other research institutions looked at us with pity and said, ‘Why are you making things so hard on yourselves?’ Well, we’re doing this because we don’t want to walk into a trap, hand over all our data, and lose our expertise in this field.”
