Nikhef is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and pleasant work environment. The Safety & Occupational Health department supports employees and departments in the areas of working conditions, safety, radiation safety, and emergency response.
Good working conditions
Nikhef places great importance on good working conditions. A safe, healthy, and pleasant work environment contributes to job satisfaction. This improves performance and reduces the risk of absenteeism, accidents, and emergencies.
In addition, the Working Conditions Act stipulates that employers and employees must collaborate on matters of Safety, Health, and Well-being. This means that the employer is responsible for ensuring good working conditions.
The Safety & Occupational Health department is responsible for this. It also supports the technical departments in the areas of safety and radiation hygiene and organises the company emergency response team.
