Building examples of DS Bridges
DS # 35 -- Bridge
By Jan van der Werff
Jan is very enthusiastic about Anchor metal, especially the metal parts which came with the DS (introduced in 1910) sets.
When he learned about the existence of some designs for the largest of the planned, but not issued, sets, he just had to build one.
His family agreed that this bridge is one of his finest building.
Bridges like this one are quite long. This one is about 7 feet long. As usual, Jan has beautifully decorated the finished building, including adding figures, etc.

In addition to this black-and-white picture, the plans included the hand-drawn layer plans in color.
So, the colors in the building shown above are correct.

The two end towers are very nice. Note the DS roofs on each wing of the bridge towers.
