The General Search for New Phenomena
The idea of this work is a systematic and model-independent search for
signals of new physics
in all final state topologies. The analysis includes -- for the first time at a collider experiment -- all final
states configurations available. All selected events with
high transverse momentum are classified according to their number
of jets, muons, electron, photons (and non-interacting particles) in
exclusive event classes, e.g. photon-electron, jet-jet or jet-jet-electron.
Kinematic quantities sensitive to new physics such as the invariant
mass and the sum of transverse momentum are finally searched for
deviations with a novel search algorithm. If you are interested in the
