Preliminary data of the TwinTube delaylines developed for L3 Cosmics MDT chambers

For the Cosmic ray setup a delayline has been developed, wich is made of a four layer PCB.
With this delayline it becomes possible to measure the Z resolution more accurate.


The great advantages of this delayline are:
  • It can be mass produced at a low price (price on request)
  • difference in delay between the delaylines : <100ps
  • average delay : 11.3 ns
  • impedance : 330 ohm
  • operating voltage : 4kV max.
  • leakage current at 8kV test voltage : << 20nA
  • No magnetic parts, it is therefore not sensitive to a static magnetic field.
  • dimensions : 51 x 26 x 3.5 mm
  • weight 9.1 gram
