About Me

Leo

Leo Wiggers

I worked at Nikhef for several experiments. My expertise is coordinating projects in the field of data-acquisition and triggering. The experiments have been: ACCMOR, ZEUS, LHCb and KM3NeT.

Moreover, I managed several staff projects and served as chairman of many internal committees.

I represented the personnel in local and central works councils and in the central complaints committee for many years.

ACCMOR

The ACCMOR collaboration pioneered the use of Silicon detectors at the SPS/CERN. I joined in 1980 and introduced a multi-processor trigger for measuring phi's. The experiment stopped in 1987.

Zeus

The ZEUS experiment started datataking in 1992 and ended in 2007 (a collaboration meeting in 2005 was in Amsterdam):

LHCb

In the LHCB experiment my project was: the pile-up system.

KM3Net

The KM3NeT uses a standard readout board of the DOM's: the CLB (central logic board). I joined Km3NeT to coordinate the development of this board.

Works
Council

I have been involved in the representation of the NIKHEF and FOM staff for quite some time:
  • Diagram Sociaal Beleidskader betreffende reorganisatie.
  • FOM-Centrale KlachtAdviesCommissie (mail naar de secretaris van de CKAC op het FOM-bureau).
