A peek/poke tool for doing single read/write (VME-)cycles interactively in any of the READOUT crates (running on the READOUT transputer) can be run from directory /zeus/transputer/tools/peek_crate by typing:
run_peek_crate
The tool has some online help text; it also offers the possibility of performing repeating cycles or blockmoves to aid e.g. hardware debugging with a scope or analyzer.
To perform VME-cycles it is recommended to first consult the 2TP-VME memory map in the 2TP-VME documentation.
