A high momentum muon can produce a bremsstrahlung shower in the UCAL. If the shower is not localized to the cell it occurred in but hits more cells it can pose a problem to the muon finder because the fitted trajectory does not pass through all cells. In figure 6.6 such a case is illustrated. MUFFIN identifies such a case by requiring that the energy in the shower center cell is bigger than and all the energy in all neighboring cells which are not hit by the fitted trajectory (cells ``1'', ``2'' and ``3'') is less than of the energy in the shower center.
