A set of
3D drawings
showing a global view of the Outer Tracker Station Assembly is shown
below .
These drawings,
based on several interactions with the central LHCb infrastructure experts,
reflect present-day (31/3/2005) knowledge and are
preliminary.
With respect to the station design contained in the
Technical Design Report
a drastic revision took place in 2003.
The main change with respect to the
TDR
was the additional requirements that each
quarter station
(two of the four layers on the same side of the beam-pipe)
could be moved independently from the
rest of the detector.
The new design requirements
and constraints were summarized in a
writeup.
