OT LV Distribution
C Frames
Each of the nine (9) Front-End boxes of each of the
four quarters
of a
C-Frame
are connected to an
"LV Distribution Box", as
shown schematically in the
figure below
(also available in
Autocad).
The connections of the LV Distribution Boxes of the two C-Frames
of a half station are shown schematically in the
figure below
(also available in
Autocad).
The LV cabling has been done during the C-Frame pre-assembly at NIKHEF; the
LV Distribution Box itself
as well as most of the cable length has been stored between
the plates of the
C-Frame.
The connection between each FE boxes and the LV distribution boxes is
realized through four wires (0/-5V and 0/+5V).
The connectors used on the cable are the
Phoenix
connectors
MSTB 2,5/ 4-STZ-5,08
(Phoenix part no. 1776155), while the chassis pieces used on the
Distribution Box are the
Phoenix
connectors
MSTBA 2,5/ 4-G-5,08
(Phoenix part no. 1757268).
The LV is fed to the C-Frames
by means of crimp terminals.
