Preparation is required for completion of a full and detailed ATLAS trigger model. As a start on this both SIMDAQ and Ptolemy will be used for comparisons to systems and measurements that are available. Aims/Objectives (with dates): Documented testbed results of Ptolemy and Simdaq 2/01 COMPLETED + comparison of testbed measurements o includes small and not so small configurations Documented results of 1 to 256 node runs on Chiba City 3/01 DELAYED 12/01 + runs with fast ethernet/UDP, Myrinet/MPI, with & w/o algorithms Full system model with rough components implemented 10/01 COMPLETED Resources: 0.5 FTE Year Deliverables: o Documentation of comparisons **** Task: Detailed/componwent model tuning and testing ********** Description: Starting with rough models the details of the components will be tailored to correspond to the emerging understanding of the actual system components we anticipate using.
