1. Paper modelling: M.Abolins has found that the set of parameters provided by V.Vercesi is incomplete with respect to the specification of rates of individual trigger item rates. he has generated a first set of results, to be looked at by J.Vermeulen, and will also look after the parameters provided by J.Baines.
2. ROS modelling: The parameters used in the existing models have to be documented for the ROS group, so that the results required for calibrating the models are known. In at2sim a model for a bus-based ROS needs to be implemented, as discussed in the previous meeting. R.Cranfield will look after this.
3. Data Collection modelling and HLT modelling: S.Wheeler will no longer be able to contribute to modelling, perhaps in the New Year there is a possibility to join in again. A.Kaczmarska takes over her tasks in Cracow. K. Korcyl reported that the Data Collection software has been installed in Cracow and the DFM calibration measurements done earlier by S.Gadomski have been repeated. It is planned to characterize the SFI and then other Data Collection components next. K.Korcyl also reported that a new version of the "strawman architecture" document" is available as DC note 49. All Ptolemy software for this model has been checked into the repository. A workplan for the network tests required for calibrating the models is to be supplied to D.Francis. P. Golonka mentioned that a workplan for the ATLAS Data Collection testbed in bdg. 513 is to be specified. About 40 rack-mounted dual 2 GHz Xeon machines will become available this autumn. The necessary measurements for calibrating the existing models need to be done, parameters to be measured need to be specified. Also the model for the supervisor needs to be brought inline with the models of the other components. M. Abolins will send information on the new design of the RoI Builder/Supervisor to P. Golonka.
4. at2sim: No further news than reported under 3.
5. Simdaq: No new developments
6. Chiba City: No information available (R.Blair did not participate in the meeting)
7. Workplan: A rough workplan, based on the task list of the beginning of this year and on the current status, was discussed. This autumn calibration data is to be collected (time scale of the TDAQ workshop in the first week of December) and models are to be updated, as far as necessary, followed by running the models (full system and testbed) to generate results in time for inclusion in the TDR.
8. Next meeting: S.Wheeler took care of the connection to Cracow, this has to be organised differently for future meetings. The next telephone meeting is planned for Tuesday 15 October, 15.30 h CERN time.
9. AOB: J.Vermeulen thanked S.Wheeler for her activities.
