multiplexer
Rasnik is a wide range, high precision alignment monitoring system, developed at NIKHEF.

RasMux_V2
Up to eight RasCams can be connected. There are 8 drivers for RasLeds, each having two output connectors (RJ11). The dimensions have been reduced (compared to the prototype) to 80 * 225 * ~45 mm . This includes isolated mounting to the chamber, but not the cables. Get the specifications (500k .PDF may 2001). Instead of the central FPGA used in V1, the control and communication logic is now implemented in standard (HC, HCT) logic. The power consumption is reduced to less than 100 mA @ 5V. Pictures of the main board: top and bottom and the support boards . Communication between the RasMux and MasterMux is changed from RS485 to LVDS. It is not compatible with the MasterBrico, used with RasMux_V1.
Version 2 connects to the MasterMux (16 channels) or the MiniMasterMux that handles up to 4 RasMuxes.
Have a look at the test set-up .
