Rasnik is a wide range, high precision alignment monitoring system, developed at NIKHEF.



 
Nine infra-red LEDs illuminate the coded mask. The supply voltage is 24 V. Tests at Prospero and Pagure (amongst others) showed that these LEDs will survive ATLAS.
Get the specifications of the RasLed. The only change for version 2 is the connection of the shield: In version 1 the ground (0V) was connected to the mounting pillars. In version 2 this connection is removed.

mask
The coding and production of the mask is the most critical part of the RasNik system.
