Rasnik is a wide range, high precision alignment monitoring system, developed at NIKHEF.

Up to sixteen RasMuxes can be connected to the MasterMux. Cable length should not exceed 20 m. The MasterMux connects to the USA15Mux or a MiniMastermux. The cable to the USA15Mux can be up to 100 m long. When a MiniMastermux is used, the length of the cable should be limited to 20 m. The jumper selecting the master type must be set before power up. This jumper is accessable from the front. The MasterMux can be mounted in a 19" rack.
48 MasterMuxes will be installed in the barrel part of the muon detector in Atlas. The prototype has been tested and production has started.
