This document (html,
PDF) of the EndCap is presented at the LEB2001
workshop in Stockholm.
It describes the functionality of the EndCap and how we planned to design it.
This document (html,
PDF)
of the EndCap is presented at the LECC2004 workshop in Boston.
It describes the main functions and how the EndCap is buildup.
This includes the design of two ASIC’s, the ALCAPONE and the ALABUF.
There is a draft version
of the EndCap documentation (PDF,
html) which describes the
boards, power, readout and JTAG. It also includes the schematics.
Additional information about the test software and the setup is described in this document.
The latest software can be fetched here: http://www.nikhef.nl/~ogrebeny/latest.zip. (Last update October 12 2005).
This picture
(gif) shows the connections of the power supplies, the EndCap and cable
shielding and the
AC-coupling in the EndCap.
This picture explains the way how the serial JTAG chain is connected and how it must be used.

This picture shows the final EndCap. The white flat-cables will be exchanged by the final ladder cables.

ALCAPONE1
The ALCAPONE1 chip has been designed and produced. They are now bonded on the
PCB’s and tested.
The
ALCAPONE01.pdf (~1.6MB) file can be downloaded
Additional information on the page of
Jan David Schipper.

ALABUF2 :
-Concept discription of ALABUF1
chip.
-ALABUF2
document by Vladimir Gromov
(March 2003).
ALABUF1 chip is tested and produced successfully. The chips are also bonded
onto the PCB’s (SupplyCard).
5 ALABUF1 chips have been irradiated and tested. Read
document for the results.
ALPOS :
The ALPOS is a power supply prototype chip. The circuit is now implemented in
the ALCAPONE0, submitted for production and expected back in july 2002. The
prototypes will be used in a test setup to test ladder modules with the HAL25
Front-End chip running at 2.5Volt.
