ATLAS experiment

Nikhef is a member of the ATLAS experiment, one of the detectors at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Geneva. More than 3000 scientists are trying to find answers to the questions surrounding new particles that are produced at high energies (among which the Higgs particle) and dark matter.
