Film showing - Higgs: into the heart of imagination
On 29 April at 7pm Dutch filmmakers, Hannie van den Bergh and Jan van den Berg, will introduce their directorial debut, Higgs: into the heart of imagination in CERN’s Main Auditorium.

As of Monday, March 22nd the speedlanes at the Nikhef main entrance will become operational again between 08.30 - 17.00 hours. After office hours (17.00 - 08.30 hours) the speedlanes will be opened.
As of Monday March 22nd the Nikhef front door will open from 08.30 hours. In case you arrive earlier you can use your entrance pass.
The MIVA speedlane (the wide gate) will be closed for all employees, except for the disabled. During office hours the MIVA speedlane will be operated by the receptionist.
The speedlanes at the Nikhef N building and the UvA building will be closed for 24 hours a day.
The most important points are summarized below:
1. You can access and leave the buildings by means of your (drop-shaped) entrance pass.
3. An access pass form for regular visitors can be obtained from the Nikhef website under "quick links/bezoekers aanmelden". Please hand in the filled out form at the Nikhef reception desk
4. Groups of visitors should be announced before hand at the reception desk (for the "group" application form, please see website "quick links/bezoekers aanmelden")
Should you see a strange situation near one of the entrances outside office hours, please contact the WCW security (tel. 592.3000).

As you might already know, Theater Adhoc has made a documentary about the search for the Higgs particle, which features CERN, the LHC, and some of our colleagues.
HIGGS - Into the heart of imagination - A film by Hannie van den Bergh & Jan van den Berg
The film was selected for the International Documentary Filmfestival of Amsterdam, IDFA (19-29 November). On Thursday Peter Higgs attended the screening and on November 27th he gave a lecture at Nikhef for a full house.
The movie was shown on television February 4th 2010.
