Nikhef bikes

Nikhef has three bicycles that can be used during regular work hours. You can get the keys at the reception desk after registering your name. Please return the bicycle the same day, give the key back to the receptionist and mention where you put the bicycle. The bicycles are not meant to travel to or from work.

Nikhef bicyclesheds

Around the Nikhef building there are several bicycle sheds and bicycle racks. These are cleaned up regulary.

To avoid confusion and not clean up old bicylcles that are still in use, the following appointment has been made in consultation with the Nikhef OR. 

The bicycles of Nikhef employees will be labeled, so that we can contact the owner. Labeling will be done as follows. Every employee at the WCW area is in possession of an "access card" with five digits on it. After the label has been made, you should attach it to your bicycle (on a clearly visible spot, such as the front fork). 

Anyone who is interested can come by the Nikhef reception, the receptionist will make a label for you. 

You will receive a mail from the Facilities Department about the clean ups. You can find the extended version of this policy (in Dutch) and the procedure of the clean up here

In case you need a room key

  • Form: print and fill out.
  • For specific rooms keys you need permission of your teamleader (he/she will sign for approval).
  • Please hand in the completely filled out form at the secretariat, room H233.
  • If available, you will get the key to your room. If not, the key will be ordered.
  • At the end of your stay, please hand in the roomkey at the secretariat.

In case you would like to have a masterkey

In case you need an accesskey for employees

  • Form: print and fill out.
  • Ask permission from your teamleader (he/she will sign for approval)
  • Please hand in the completely filled out form at the reception desk. The acceskey will be there for you the next workday
  • At the end of your stay, please hand in the accesskey at the receptiondesk.

We would like to point out that it is not allowed to enter the building with two or more persons on one (electronical) accesskey. Regardless if they are co-workers or visitors. Whoever forgot his electronical key will have to ask for a visitorspass at the receptiondesk. Visitors are supposed to be registered at the reception desk.

 In case you are moving to another room

  • Inform Facilities about your moving plans some time before
  • Facilities will plan a suitable date with you
  • Facilities/CT will take care of changing your phonenumber, pc, moving boxes and drawer to the new room
  • Moving boxes are available at the mailroom (room N044, ext. 5046)
  • Please inform the receptiondesk about your move regarding your nameplate, (phone)information and PRIS (personal registration and information system)
  • Hand in your old roomkey at the secretariat (room H233). You can also apply for a new key at the facilities secretariat.

Office Supplies
The office supplies store (H051) is open for all employees. At the reception desk you will get a key and list. On the list you fill in what you have taken from the store. The stock is rather extensive, but if you need additional articles, please contact Ton Langenhorst (room N044, ext. 5094).

Goods / Postal Services
Most employees have a post box next to the coffee corner in the hall. Please use the boxes for incoming and outgoing mail.

Outgoing mail should be offered before 15.00 hours in the box 'Outgoing mail'. The department Facilities takes care for postage of Nikhef mail. 'Facilities' also supports the transport of goods and checks, registrates all incoming goods. They should be collected at the office Goederenontvangst, room N044, ext. 5046 of Facilities.

Courier
If you have to send a letter within the Netherlands by courier contact Ton Langenhorst (ext. 5094, room N044). For letters to other countries contact Muzaffer Pancar (ext. 5119, room H052). Always specify the concerned budget number. 

Werken met derden
Werken met derden brengt altijd extra gevaar voor de veiligheid en gezondheid van medewerkers met zich mee. Dit geldt ook voor het personeel van het ingehuurde bedrijf. Zij kennen het gebouw en de activiteiten in erin niet. Deze leidraad is bedoeld voor de opdrachtgever of zijn/haar vertegenwoordiger(s) en heeft als doel de risico's voor veiligheid en gezondheid bij werk uitgevoerd door derden zo laag mogelijk te houden.  

Met derden wordt bedoeld aannemers, onderhoudspersoneel, schoonmaakpersoneel of ander ingehuurd personeel. Conform de eisen van de Arbowet is Stichting FOM verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid en gezondheid van alle personen die zich op het terrein van de FOM instituten of Bureau bevinden (artikel 3 en 10 van de Arbowet). 

Deze leidraad (pdf) is een procedure voor een interne opdrachtgever en bevat daarnaast een reglement en een checklist op het gebied van veiligheid en gezondheid. Het reglement wordt opgenomen in het contract. Daarnaast wordt samen met de opdrachtnemer de risico's voor veiligheid en gezondheid bepaald waarna maatregelen afgesproken worden om de risico's en de overlast zo laag mogelijk te houden.
