The conference dinner will be held Thursday April 3 starting at 20:00 in the restaurant "d'Vijff Vlieghen" Spuistraat 294-302, Tel. +31 (0)20 624 8369.
The d'Vijff Vlieghen restaurant
consists of five adjacent 17th century houses. It has nine interconnected dining
rooms, each with its own distinctive style. All of' them recreate the rich atmosphere
of the Golden Age.
The Rembrandt Room is particularly remarkable for its four original etchings
made by the great Dutch master. In the Knights' Hall, displays of helmets and
armour recall the Eighty Years War with Spain.
The Glass Room contains a collection of rare handmade glassware dating from
the 17th century, whilst the 18th century panelling of the Bridal Room creates
an intimate atmosphere.
For registered conference participants, the dinner is included in the conference fee. For accompagnying persons, depending on availability, dinner tickets can be obtained from the reception desk € 50. You must bring your ticket to the restaurant.
The d'Vijff Vlieghen restaurant can be reached from NIKHEF most easily with tram 9. You get of at the "Spui" stop. The tram ride takes about 30 minutes. From there it is a short five minute walk to the restaurant. Make sure you have a map of the Amsterdam city center with you!
NOTE:

to a temporary change in the tram line network you can from NIKHEF also use
tram line 14 (get on at "Kruislaan" stop near NIKHEF and get off at
