Welcome
Welcome to the website of the 6th International Workshop on High-pT Physics at the LHC.
The purpose of this workshop is to offer an opportunity for experimentalists and theoreticians to get together and discuss results from the first year of p+p and heavy ion collisions at LHC as well as recent results and progress from RHIC and TEVATRON experiments and theoretical developments.
Topics
The main topics of the workshop are:
- Nuclear modifications of the parton distribution functions
- High pT jet production in pp, pA and AA
- High pT parton propagation in matter
- Nuclear modifications of the fragmentation functions
- Correlations with leading particles
- Direct photon and heavy flavor tagging
The meeting is in a workshop format, with only plenary presentations and ample room for discussion between the presentations.
Hosts
The meeting is organized by the National Institute for Subatomic Physics Nikhef and the Institute for Subatomic Physics of Utrecht University in Utrecht, with financial support from the Foundation for Fundamental Research of Matter (FOM).
The meeting takes place in Utrecht, a medium size town with a nice medieval historic center, which is a short train ride away from the capital city Amsterdam and its airport (Schiphol).
